"Summit"
The drive from Anchorage to Seward is one of the most beautiful in the world. The first time driving the Turnagian Arm on the Seward Highway is on of my absolute favorite memories. I took a photo of this mountain on one of those amazing drives on a beautiful sunny summer day.
A lot of people remark on the movement of this piece, and how the mountain reminds them of water. This is fascinating to me because the piece originally started out as an underwater painting, you can see the blue hues behind the gray that shifted from water to sky. This piece is the only mountain I have painted in this style. "Summit" is truly the only one of its kind.
